Valentine’s Black List

During the month when, supposedly, love is in the air and advertisements scream for us to buy pretty and expensive things for the people we love, a month when the most common thing streaming on the radio stations are cheesy pop songs, WFK will show you a new side to the picture.

Today we will be playing ten songs for you that show how sometimes, the most beautiful compositions can be born from tragic, pathetic or simply difficult love stories.

We’ll have obsessive chicks who won’t take no for an answer represented by PJ Harvey; frustrated musicians who won’t be going home with the pretty girl at the end of the night (Nick Cave); a mother in law interfering in an adolescent love story (Blondie); a singer that falls into the hands of a rich man’s daughter (Morphine); The Smiths’ classic, “Girlfriend in a Coma,” and much more….

This is our present for you because we love you all!

…well, some of you. ;)

Here is the Music Player. You need to installl flash player to show this cool thing!
