Most of their names might not be highlighted in Ultra’s lineup, and a lot of them will always be remembered as cult artists that were never able to hit the #1 spot on the Billboard music charts, but every single one of them share that cutting-edge sound that fascinates the indie crowd and that alone is worth the respect we give them.
A few of these musicians, such as Chemical Brothers, Empire of the Sun, Moby or Erasure, have flirted with mainstream success but the spirit of their music will always remain underground. Others, like Cansei de ser Sexy, Crystal Castles, Klaxons and !!! have an international reputation and thousands of fans around the world but their sales weren’t enough to have their name in bold in the Ultra Music Festival lineup .
