::Art & Sole

Every second Friday of the month, the Bakehouse Art Complex organizes its own in-house art walk. For those unfamiliar with either BAC or art walk, make this Friday, the 8th of April, the day of your cultural discovery.

BAC is an established house divided into many art studios. Art walk is when the galleries of a specific district decide to open after dark to show their current exhibits. Curious regular guys and girls and art-enthusiasts alike walk around the neighborhood, mingling, enjoying the live music and street spectacles and cheering their plastic cups filled with wine. It’s a very fun experience; you will meet artists, musicians, and all those vampires that just come out thirsty for an art gathering.

This Friday BAC has a special guest, OMBU lifestyle,  a Miami based shoe-line who dress your feet at the same time as planting some trees and educating our culture. Their shoes are the most green, eco friendly fashion accessory you can wear. OMBU shoes are made of recycled leather with playful prints and (very Miami) pastel colors, but this time, for the Art & Sole event, the shoes are presented naked, just like a canvas, for local artists to decorate with their own signature style.  –All sales will be benefit the Trees for The Future Foundation.

Get on your feet and come by this Friday, after all the art-walking, to thank your legs with a pair of OMBU shoes!

Participating Artist: Elise Martin, Leonardo Leggieri, Jenny Perez, Greg Gayle, GG, Vanessa Vejar, Alex Pabian, Orahec MacDonald, Giorgio Roman, Christian Bernard, Anica Shpilberg, Jose Pachecho Silva, Colleen Kelley, Marcia Ramos-Perello, Dan Bondroff, Regina Jestrow, Amalia Brujis, Pat Ross Marx, Donna Lee Steffens, Kason Snyder, Patricia Gutierrez, Irena Gapkivska, Janet Mueller, David Tupper and Russ Ronat.
