Celebrated electronic music producer/DJ/singer-songwriter CALVIN HARRIS is on tour this summer and coming to Miami, FL Friday, July 29 at SET.
After the success of his #1 U.K. debut album Ready for the Weekend, CALVIN HARRIS is back with a stonker of a new single “Bounce” featuring Kelis. The track, it’s b-side “Awooga” and remixes courtesy of Michael Woods, DJ R3hab and Sandro Silva are out now via Ultra Music in North America. It is the first offering from his new artist album expected for early 2012.
CALVIN HARRIS has sold in excess of 450,000 albums worldwide and in the U.K. has had six Top 10 singles in his career, including his two #1 hits “I’m Not Alone” and “Dance Wiv Me” featuring Dizzee Rascal. His next killer track “Bounce” is set to kick off this summer with a bang. With its cheeky, teasing beat, “Bounce” is an electro house anthem in the making. It leads into a huge uplifting chorus with Kelis’ husky vocals that explode massively. Ridiculously catchy, it is set to alight the dancefloors of clubs around the world. The video for the song, available now on YouTube, is directed by Vincent Haycock (MSTRKRFT, Cheryl Cole, Miike Snow, Editors) and co-directed by AG Rojas (Gil Scott-Heron & Jamie xx, Travis Barker featuring Steve Aoki).
Summer 2011 is already gearing up in a big way for CALVIN with the release of “Bounce,” including a recent stellar performance at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, which the Los Angeles Times dubbed “the best set of the night” (6/25/11), and upcoming appearances at Electric Zoo in NYC, Radio 1 Big Weekend, T in the Park and The Big Chill in the U.K., also Global Gathering (Russia) and Pukklepop (Belgium) as well as DJ residencies at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas and Cream at Amnesia in Ibiza.
CALVIN HARRIS’ last appearances in North America included a very select run of full band shows. Since then, his live presentation has evolved into a one–man electronic performance encompassing both DJ set and on-the-spot production.
