:: Dorsch Gallery 20th Anniversary Party

Dorsch Gallery is proud to announce its 20th Anniversary Party on Saturday, November 19th, 2011, starting at 10 pm. The 20th Anniversary Party will follow the opening reception of solo exhibitions Martin Murphy: Modern Trance and Mette Tommerup: Full Salute, which will be from 6-9pm. The party will feature prominent musical acts as well as the premiere of new artworks, both in the galleryand outside in the garden.

Twenty years ago, Dorsch Gallery began in a small walk-up apartment in Coral Gables. Today, Dorsch Gallery is one of Miami’s most dynamic art galleries. At the forefront of the contemporary art landscape, the gallery showcases work by emerging and established artists, as well as a wide array of cultural programming. The gallery has hosted fundraisers for several non-profit organizations and charities, dance performances, film screenings, concerts and music festivals, and poetry readings.

Led by the indefatigable Brook Dorsch, Dorsch Gallery works with and promotes the gallery’s artists and mounts great exhibitions in the process.

The 20th Anniversary Party will kick off with a surprise. Then, the party will continue into the night, celebrating the gallery’s past, present, and future, and everyone who has been involved with the gallery along the way. Musical acts will include DJ Otto von Bass Warrior, DJ Mr. Feathers, Boise Bob and his Backyard Band, Rat Bastard, North&South, and other surprise special guests.
