::Won’t you be my neighbor?

Yo Miami, Inc. and The Black Key Group are bringing you an event not to be missed. Both companies are involved in the local art and music scenes respectively and decided to join forces to bring you the best of both worlds in an event that will be more than the sum of its parts. Pulling elements from the classic, Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, the theme of the party is one of community outreach and camaraderie. Whether it’s local visual artists or musicians our goal is to put together an event that will showcase these talented individuals’ work in an environment which appeals to
both the artists and their peers.

In the spirit of keeping things local, we’ve put together an incredible lineup of local bands including: The Edan Archer Band, Sirens and Sealions, Arboles Libres, and Deaf Poets. Each of these bands has their own loyal followings and we’re thrilled at the opportunity to bring them all together in one spot for the night, with the help of Jolt Radio. To incorporate the visual aspect of the arts, we will be showcasing up to 10 local artists’ work exemplifying their version of Miami. The artists won’t necessarily be showing us the physical surroundings of city, but more the essence that they associate with Miami.

By holding the event at Found, “Wynwood’s one of a kind, refurbished furniture store” we want to emphasize that this isn’t your everyday party. The interior of the venue is arranged more like a home than a store, and features artists’ work on the walls alongside the furniture. Aside from the showroom there is an enclosed courtyard out back where the bands will be rocking out along with one of the two food trucks in attendance.

The first of the two food trucks that will be participating, Ms. Cheezious, is a local favorite that was recently voted Miami New Times’ 2011 Best of Miami readers’ choice for Best Food Truck and editors’ choice for Best Cheesy Truck. The other is Coolhaus, an architecturally inspired ice cream sandwich truck
from LA. The Coolhaus consists of all-natural, organic and local when possible, and uniquely flavored handmade ice creams of classic and seasonal varieties or custom-made to suit your needs, packed between two cookies of your choice. We felt that these two trucks will bring the comfort food element to
the event that blends perfectly with the overall theme of “all in the neighborhood.”
