Queen of burlesque DITA VON TEESE has been confirmed to perform a selection of her world famous burlesque routines in the grand theater aboard HOLY SHIP!, the world’s first three-day electronic music cruise which sets sail January 6-9, 2012.
DITA VON TEESE adds a new dimension to the ship’s entertainment—featuring the world’s hottest electronic music makers including FATBOY SLIM, BOYS NOIZE, LAIDBACK LUKE, RUSKO, DIPLO, A-TRAK, STEVE AOKI andSKRILLEX—which sails from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas and a private island. Known globally as the queen of burlesque, DITA’s enthralling stripteases are legendary exercises in feminine perfection and retro-cinematic style. This will mark the first time Ms. VON TEESE will perform to electronic music. Her on-board performances will coincide with themed parties held in El Teatro, the ship’s grand theater, by the Paris Social Club and Berlin’sBoysnoize Records.
El Teatro is one of four venues aboard the MSC Poesia, the 93,000-ton resort vessel chosen for this momentous voyage. HOLY SHIP! recently released the much-awaited performance schedule at www.holyship.com for this ultimate vacation. Each venue will concurrently host parties with the world’s top DJs performing until the wee hours over three consecutive days and nights at sea. The three days will also be marked by many activities and workshops (see a sampling below). With over 30 DJs performing everywhere practically around the clock, it’s hard to imagine doing much more. Yet the MSC Poesia, constructed in 2008, is a world-class cruise liner equipped with modern amenities to delight every passenger:
- Take a leisurely swim on the pool deck, where artists and guests can mingle over cocktails or take in the Caribbean sunshine on multiple sundecks.

- Take an afternoon stretch with GINA TURNER’s yoga class on the tennis courts.
